Lambi Dehar Mines otherwise called the Mine of Death is located Mussoories and is considered as one of the most spooky places in Uttarakhand. The incident occurred during the 1990s when a large number of laborers began becoming ill on account of no safety and helpless medical support. The administration did not take any action to deal with the deteriorating health of the laborers. 50,000 laborers got stifled to death while digging lime because of choking out and blood began to come from their mouth that forced them to death. After the occurrence, the mine was closed down and local people deserted this spot. 
People can hear cries originating from this mine at evening. You won't accept but there is a witch which roams around this spot and is believed to be the reason for mysterious accidents of cars, trucks along with a helicopter crash. Travelers are encouraged to remain as far as possible from this spooky spot.
